Planetside 2 Developers announce PS4 update that will hit live PS4 servers today. All PS4 servers (NA & EU) will come down for a new update on Tuesday, December 8 at 8:00 AM PST (5:00 PM CET). This update is primarily intended to get the game ready for the start of Chapter 2 in The Shattered Warpgate Campaign, which will begin on Friday, December 18.
Downtime is expected to last 2 hours.

- The Shattered Warpgate Chapter 2 start date has been set for Friday, December 18.
- Fixed a rare crash that had been occurring when dismounting vehicles.
- Fixed various messaging and UI issues related to Mission UI and descriptions.
- Added a "Join Campaign" button to the UI when previewing Campaign content and chapters.
- Fixed Storm Overload Indicators so they now properly appear in the HUD while inside the Esamir storm.
- Mission rarity can now be seen from the Missions tab.
PS4 servers will also get a hotfix that addresses three low-frequency crashes that were published for PC version today (information about that hotfixes was published on Andy Sites Twitter).
